I trust you - these are the most powerful three words. We do almost everything either seriously or sarcastically. But I think this is the only one thing which we can't do with sarcasm. When we believe, we believe with a serious mind by nature; and here the fun fact is that this serious word faces sarcastic smirks of life most of the time.
Generally we say with a big mouth that "we should believe in ourselves". But in reality we believe in others more than ourselves almost all the time; and then all the problems arise gradually. Expectation and dependence come like the unwanted guests. After that, with a tortoise-walk, depression, overthinking, anxiety, bad feeling etc start dancing. With all these, finally and successfully, the chaos within the mind begins to ruin our inner peace.
In most of the cases, we have blind faith in someone. Well, I can say, 'blind faith' is just a myth. This cannot happen in reality and what we think of as blind faith, is nothing but our foolishness.
You believe in your closest ones to the infinity, but still you re-check unknowingly or knowingly. That's your maturity. That's the practicality.
Value your instincts. Value the sense of logic and your own thoughts. Expectation and dependence are the reality, we can't escape from those entirely. But try to reduce the tendency to believe in others more than yourself. Believe in your trustworthy persons but in a logical way.
So, first and foremost, believe the mirror.
Believe your soul.
